Shipment Quality Control Inspection
also known as "Final Random Inspection" is the most traditional
approach and preferred method used to effectively protect against
faulty deliveries.
When placing an order, the buyer arranges for inspection with the
manufacturer before shipment by an independent institution, like
Pro. Q.C. Systems®. A clause is incorporated in the purchase
order and Letter of Credit, so that the shipment may only be released
in conjunction with the issuance of "quality/acceptance"
(Inspection Certificate). Therefore, in order to complete the contract
the quality certificate is absolutely essential. Furthermore the
Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL's), the acceptable quality standards
are agreed upon and included in the contract. Thus the buyer defines
the parameters within which the average quality of the ordered goods
has to stay. With as little effort as this, the buyer has already
created all the necessary prerequisites.
After production the manufacturer will have to invite us to the
place of production or loading for "shipment control".
On site, our experienced Q.C. Engineers or Inspectors then check
the general condition, quality, functions, packaging and labeling
of your products. Based on industry standard "ANSI Z1.4-1970"
(correspond to MIL standard 105 E), randomly selected samples are
drawn from the total quantity of goods to be shipped. This sample
lot is then meticulously checked piece by piece, against your reference
sample and our checklist specifications.
The results, classified as critical, major and minor defects represent
a statistically sound statement about the quality of the total lot.
The next step is the task of presenting the defects to the responsible
Quality Manager of the manufacturer, so that the latter has to acknowledge
and understand the inspection results.
After completion of the inspection our clients receive an in-depth
report explaining all relevant information.
We realise the need for timeliness in maintaining your shipping
schedule and we ensure that you will receive the important information
promptly. Our service team is readily available prior, during, and
after an inspection to attend to any questions or concerns you might
have.
Based on the above, the final decision can be made; the goods can
be released for shipment or rejected because of, for example, bad
quality. If possible, the goods can then be reworked before shipment.
Since the goods have already been produced prior to shipment control,
then quality can theoretically not be improved by the control itself.
However, it has been shown time and time again that the manufacturer
endeavors to deliver products that comply with the requirements.
After the first rejected shipment, at latest, a lesson will have
been learned.
Our prices for these services lie within the usual industry standard.
In joint agreement, the buyer normally pays for the first inspection
and the manufacturer will cover all costs if any subsequent re-inspection
has to be carried out, due to inferior quality. The amount of money
that has to be spent for a shipment check is a fraction of the cost
that could arise through faulty goods delivered.
We would be pleased to work out a tailor made offer for your requirements.
